BINDERS! GET YOUR BINDERS HERE!
If you still haven’t gotten an FBC Studies binder, please contact Tami and let her know! We have a new supply of binders available along with tabs for the Main Session, Breakout sessions, and more. You can send an email to Tami and let her know you need one. When you send your request, let her know who the binder is for so she can include a tab for FBC Men or FBC Women. This is a great way to keep all of your studies together in one handy place. It’s also a fun place to put your stickers, too… have you gotten any stickers from the Information Table yet?
Send Tami an email to request your binder: t.montgomery@fbcrichland.net

Goodness Of God
Great Reward
Lord I Need You
Made Alive
Goodness Of God
Verse 1
I love You Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days
I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God
Chorus
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God
Verse 2
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night
You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a father
I’ve known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God
Bridge
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
With my life laid down
I’m surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
Great Reward
Verse 1
I trust in You for ev’ry heartbeat
As long as I’m alive
Your love endures when I waken when I close my eyes
Help me to know You are God I am not
Remind my soul You’re in control
Chorus
Praise to the Father with ev’ry breath I take
In joy and sorrow all for Your kingdom’s sake
Be Thou my vision be Thou my hope restored
Now and forever You are my great reward
(Oh (Lord) my great reward)
Verse 2
I won’t demand to know the reasons for my suffering
These open hands will trust Your wisdom
Beyond what I see
Help me to know You are God I am not
Remind my soul You’re in control
Bridge
I know this is dangerous daring just to pray this
I will trust You Lord
The rock throughout the ages You make me courageous
I will trust You Lord
I will trust You Lord
I know this is dangerous daring just to pray this
I will trust You Lord
Help me trust You more
The rock throughout the ages You make me courageous
I will trust You Lord
I will trust You Lord
Lord I Need You
Verse
Lord I come I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
And without You I fall apart
You’re the one that guides my heart
Chorus
Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
Verse 2
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Bridge
So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay
Chorus 2
Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
Made Alive
Verse 1
I once was dead in sin alone and hopeless
A child of wrath I walked condemned in darkness
But Your mercy brought new life
And in Your love and kindness
Raised me up with Christ and made me righteous
Chorus
You have bought me back with the riches of
Your amazing grace and relentless love
I’m made alive forever with You life forever
By Your grace I’m saved
(By Your grace I’m saved)
Verse 2
Lord You are the light that broke the darkness
You satisfy my soul when I am heartless
If ever I forget my true identity
Show me who I am and help me to believe
Bridge
My sin has been erased
I’ll never be the same

Revelation Resource Guide
To Those Who Overcome: Smyrna
Will Mouat
8“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: ‘The words of the first and the last, who died and came to life.
9“‘I know your tribulation and your poverty ( but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
10Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
11He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.’
Revelation 2:8-11 ESV
10You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness,
11my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me.
12Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
2 Timothy 3:10-12 ESV
18“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
19If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
20Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
21But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.
John 15:18-21 ESV
21Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death,
22and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 10:21-22 ESV
10I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death,
11and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:10-11 BSB
As we gather…
What does the passage say?
Who is writing to the church at Smyrna?
What names does he use to identify himself?
Why do you think he used those names here?
What do you notice about the recipients?
Why does the author call them rich?
What do you notice about the “tribulation” they are enduring?
What is the reward for enduring to the end?
Four Elements of Persecution
R_____________________ of persecution
(2 Timothy 3:10-12, John 15:18-21, John 16:33, Matthew 10:17-39)
N_____________________ of persecution
(Luke 12:51-53, John 16:2-3, 1 Peter 1:6)
R_____________________ to persecution
(John 15:4-5, James 1:2-4, Acts 5:41, Hebrews 10:32-36, Acts 4:19-20, 29-31)
R_____________________ for enduring to the end
(Philippians 3:10, Revelation 2:10, Revelation 20:10-15)
As we go…
What must I do in response?
Where am I facing persecution for my faith in Christ?
What areas of compromise have I made with the world?
How am I doing at abiding or remaining in Christ?
What fruit do I see in my life? What do others see in me?
What do I need to keep doing in my walk with Christ?
What do I need to stop doing in my walk with Christ?
What do I need to start doing in my walk with Christ?
To whom will I be accountable?
(reach out and ask… follow up)
The Christian life is designed to be transferred relationally and journeyed together. “Rope in”– brother to brother and sister to sister – on a weekly basis so that together we can draw near to God and join him in his kingdom work.
This is an exploration – commit and prepare for a long and rewarding journey.
