MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
From time to time we have the opportunity to provide meals to families in our congregation after a surgery, during a sickness, or when other life events arise. There are several ways you can provide these meals. You can cook something yourself and take it over to them, you can grab some takeout and deliver it personally, or you can even order it and have it delivered to them. Currently we have one family in need of meals, and their meal calendar can be found here:
Click here to sign up for meals to Steeles
We try to maintain a list of those who are willing to participate in this ministry. If you would like to be included when these needs arise in the future, please sign up on the ChurchCenter app home page under email preferences (on your phone or on our website), or by replying to this message.
SUMMER FELLOWSHIP & CRAFT NIGHT
Come for a night of fellowship and crafty fun on Friday, July 23, 6:30 PM. We will be providing supplies for creating bath bombs. Bring a snack to share and feel free to bring a friend! This event is hosted by our FBC MOPS group, but all ladies are welcome to attend. Sign up here!
UPCOMING EVENT
The whole family is welcome to come to the FBC MOPS Summer BBQ as we kick-off the MOPS year. Hamburgers and hotdogs provided, please sign up for other potluck items here. We are planning on having a bounce house, so bring a lawn chair along if you want to sit outside. Open to all FBC families!

BLOOD DRIVE
We are hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive sponsored by Oasis Physical Therapy on Thursday, August 12, from noon to 5 PM. The Red Cross is facing a critical shortage with only 60% of donations needed scheduled this summer. Please consider giving blood. It’s easy and only takes about 30 minutes!
Click here to register to donate. Donating Blood is safe, quick and easy, and you can save up to 3 lives with just 1 blood donation! Giving Blood saves 4.5 million lives each year in the US, yet fewer than 1 out of 10 people in the US donate.
Let’s roll up our sleeves and do our part!
YOUVERSION STUDY GUIDE
We now have our sermon study guide on the Bible app! This will allow you to follow along with the message AND take and save your notes. We will be using the YouVersion Bible App which is FREE and available for iPhone/iPad, Android, and Kindle Fire devices.

1. Go to your app store or https://www.bible.com/app and install on your device.
2. Set up a FREE account either in the app or on the website.
3. If you haven’t used this app before, spend some time getting to know all its features.

The Secret Place
Here Again
The Heart Of Worship
My Redeemer Lives
The Secret Place
Verse 1
Where will you run my soul
Where will you go when wells run dry
When the wind starts to blow
How you gonna keep this flame alive
Pre-Chorus
In the fading light when night is breaking
I know You will always be waiting
You’ll always be there
Chorus
(I’m) running to the secret place
Where You are where You are
I’ll sing to You all the ways
You stole my heart stole my heart
Better is a moment that I spend with You
Than a million other days away
I’m running I’m running
I’m running to the secret place
Verse 2
You are my only hope
You are the Rock on which I stand
You will not let me go
I know that I’m safe inside Your hands
Bridge
Hands are lifted high hearts awake to life
We are satisfied here with You here with You
Chains will hit the floor broken lives restored
We couldn’t ask for more here with You here with You
Here Again
Verse 1
Can’t go back to the beginning
Can’t control what tomorrow will bring
But I know here in the middle
Is the place where you promise to be
Chorus
I’m not enough unless you come
Will you meet me here again
‘Cause all I want is all you are
Will you meet me here again
Verse 2
As I walk now through the valley
Let your love rise above every fear
Like the sun shaping the shadow
In my weakness your glory appears
Bridge
Not for a minute was I forsaken
The Lord is in this place
The Lord is in this place
Come Holy Spirit dry bones awaken
The Lord is in this place
The Lord is in this place
The Heart Of Worship
Verse 1
When the music fades all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring something that’s of worth
That will bless Your heart
Pre-Chorus
I’ll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heart
Chorus
I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You all about You Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You all about You Jesus
Verse 2
King of endless worth no one could express
How much You deserve
Though I’m weak and poor all I have is Yours
Ev’ry single breath
My Redeemer Lives
Verse
I know He rescued my soul
His blood has covered my sin
I believe I believe
My shame He’s taken away
My pain is healed in His name
I believe I believe
Pre-Chorus
I’ll raise a banner
‘Cause my Lord has conquered the grave
Chorus
My Redeemer lives
My Redeemer lives
My Redeemer lives
My Redeemer lives
Bridge
You lift my burdens
I’ll rise with You
I’m dancing on this mountaintop
To see Your kingdom come
Sermon Study Guide
That You May Proclaim: Week Five
Pastor Tim Walker
22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,
23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
24 for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,
25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
1 Peter 1:22-25 (ESV)
1 So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.
2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
1 Peter 2:1-3 (ESV)
2 2Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,
1 Peter 1:22 (ESV)
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
19 We love because he first loved us.
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
1 John 4:7-21 (ESV)
23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
24 for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,
25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
1 Peter 1:23-25 (ESV)
1 So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.
1 Peter 2:1 (ESV)
17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.
18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!—
21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,
22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
27 and give no opportunity to the devil.
28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:17-32 (ESV)
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,
30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32 Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
Romans 1:28-32
2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
1 Peter 1:2-3 (ESV)

The Christian life is designed to be transferred relationally and journeyed together. You need to “rope in”– brother to brother and sister to sister – on a weekly basis so that together we can draw near to God and join him in his kingdom work.
This is an exploration – commit and prepare for a long and rewarding journey.
