Weekly Bulletin 10-18-20
Welcome
Welcome to our Sunday Worship Service!
• Celebrate with us that some regulations have been lifted! This means we no longer have to register for a venue. Praise the Lord! We will still offer the MPR as a venue for our service and we will simulcast the livestream there for those who prefer that option – but no registrations are necessary.
• We will continue to adhere to safe social distancing practices and wear masks as required for in-person activities.
• If you have children attending KidZone, please pick them up promptly after the service.
• Worship service will also be available via Facebook or YouTube for those who wish to continue to watch at home.
• Please check in whether you are here in person or watching online – using the ChurchCenter app on your smartphone, or on the ChurchCenter online portal on a computer.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Our faithful Operation Christmas Child enthusiasts have finished another year of prep and are ready to pack some boxes! First Baptist Church’s OCC goal this year is 200 boxes and we need to raise $2,000 to cover shipping and the cost of the boxes themselves.
We will not do a big packing party this year, but will to continue having small monthly gatherings and pack boxes from supplies we have received to date. OCC box items (school supplies, hygiene supplies, etc.) are still welcome!
This year we are packing at Dana Mortimer’s house on October 31. For more information and location details, please contact Dana Mortimer or Melany Bickford.
You may designate a donation to OCC.

What a Beautiful Name
Heart of Worship
How Great is our God
What a Beautiful Name
Verse 1
You were the Word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ
Chorus 1
What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
Verse 2
You didn’t want heaven without us
So Jesus You brought heaven down
My sin was great Your love was greater
What could separate us now
Chorus 2
What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a wonderful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
Bridge 1
Death could not hold You
The veil tore before You
You silence the boast of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring
The praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever God You reign
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names

What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

The Name of Jesus
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
Heart of Worship
Verse 1
When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that’s of worth
That will bless Your heart
Pre-Chorus
I’ll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heart
Chorus
I’m coming back to the
Heart of worship
And it’s all about You
All about You Jesus
I’m sorry Lord
For the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You
All about You Jesus
Verse 2
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I’m weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Ev’ry single breath
How Great is our God
Verse 1
The splendor of the King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps Himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
And trembles at His voice
Chorus
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great
How great is our God
Verse 2
And age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the End
Beginning and the End
The Godhead three in one
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
Bridge
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
Scripture & Sermon Notes
Stairway to Heaven: God Made a Way
Jim Latzko
18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.
20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear
22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.”

Missionary of the Month
Jim & Alene Latzko
The Latzkos utilize their 30 years of missionary experience in the Philippines to motivate and assist churches in the US to evangelize, disciple, and plant churches among new immigrants. They lead International Bible Studies, English Classes, and youth groups.
Jim was saved and discipled in the 1960’s through the ministry of First Baptist Church. Allene grew up in the Philippines, a child of missionary parents. They are sent by First Baptist with the assistance of ABWE-North America.
To make a one-time gift (love offering) to the Latzkos, you may choose “missionary of the month” in the drop-down menu of the Church Center app’s giving option. This option is also available online, here.
Alternatively, you may visit their ABWE giving page.
Praises
- On September 6, our International Fellowship at the Chinese Church held its first in-person meeting since the COVID-19 crisis began.
- Our English classes have built close friendships with Internationals in Richland and their families.
- We currently have people attending our classes from both the US East Coast and Asia.
- We have the privilege of caring for Allene’s mother, Fern, at our home.
Prayer Requests
- In March, our Bridge Seminar, focusing on helping churches disciple internationals, was cancelled due to COVID-19. Pray that we will be able to teach the Bridge Seminar within the next 6 months.
- Pray for us to have a growing ministry to our English students, and that they will continue to attend online, even after they return to their home countries.
