The Cross Reference Book Club book for March: Fight Like Jesus: How Jesus Waged Peace Throughout Holy Week by
Brief overview:
Throughout Holy Week, two competing approaches to peacemaking collide. What if we’ve embraced the wrong one? We desperately need to recover the radical vision of peacemaking that Jesus embodied throughout Holy Week. And we urgently need to be trained in his way of making peace. So, come. Let’s journey together day-by-day through Jesus’ final week and discover anew why he is called the Prince of Peace.
We look forward to hearing what you learned from reading this book at our next meeting on Saturday, March 25 at **6:30 PM** at the Frater Library. Join the group and RSVP so that we know you’re participating. You can join the Book Club Group and RSVP in the App: Home>Connect>Groups or click here.
Come join us whether you’ve read the book or not – we welcome all discussion. We’re excited to see you!
NEW LADIES BREAKOUT SESSION COMING NEXT WEEK – 3/26
Coming soon: a new Ladies Breakout Session, Jude: Called, Loved, & Kept. Please join the Group in the Church App to have access to materials and more information. In this group you will be able to get reminders for each session, message other session attendees, and have access to group resources.
This group is for ladies age 16 and older. This inductive study is 5 weeks long, and the dates are listed for your convenience. We will meet in Room 307 on Sundays at 11:00 AM. If you can’t make all of the dates, come to whichever ones you can! There is no book necessary for this session, all materials will be provided. All you need to bring is yourself, a pen, and maybe colored pencils if that’s your jam.
Can’t wait to see you there! Join the group here.
Study description:
This is a deep dive Bible study into the book of Jude. Have you every wondered what this little epistle is really all about. After all, with only one chapter and 25 verses in length, how important could it really be? Why in the world would it take 5 weeks to study this tiny little letter? You’d be surprised how much “gold” we are going to mine from this little book.
Join this journey from the New Testament to the beginning of time and back again. We’ll be using the inductive study methods of observation, interpretation and application without all the extensive work of a regular PRECEPT study.
