Our purpose is to provide a safe space for a college age community to gather, worship, learn, and share life together. We meet on Fridays at FBC, in Room 101. Arrive at 6:30 PM for refreshments before we kick things off at 7:00 PM. Bring a friend and we hope to see you there. Click here to sign up!
AMBASSADORS IN MEXICO – 6/17-24
Please pray for the AIM team as their trip begins this week! They will be gone from June 17-24, traveling on Saturday, June 17, and building a house with the rest of the team on Monday-Thursday. 2GO CAFE – 9:00 AM SUNDAY
Our coffee stand is open on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM. Stop by and grab some coffee before or after the Main Session. Donations currently benefit Rehema for Kids. Rehema for Kids rescues abused and orphaned kids in Kenya, stopping the cycle of generational poverty through education so children can reach their God-given potential.
FBC KIDS – 9:30 AM SUNDAY
FBC Kids is our Sunday morning program for children ages 0–6th grade. We use The Gospel Project as our curriculum. Our mission is to partner with families to raise up kids who love Jesus!
At our 9:30 AM Main Session we have 3 classes (check in to all 9:30 classes by the Nursery):
• Nursery & Toddler – age 0-2
• Preschool & Kindergarten – age 3-5
• Grades 1, 2, & 3
Check your children in at the station by the nursery in the main hallway – follow the new signs! There will be a single check-in station where you can conveniently complete the check-in process for your child and your whole family.
• Grades 4, 5, & 6 participate in the Main Session and have their own grade-level materials. If your older kiddo hasn’t gotten an FBC Kids 4-5-6 Grade binder yet, they can grab theirs from under the table at the back of the auditorium! These are for kids to keep and they can add materials to their binders each week.

PUTNAM MINISTRY HOUSE
Partner with us to prepare the Putnam Ministry House! We are equipping this house to be used as a ministry from FBC to missionary families, pastors and special speakers, intended to help them feel refreshed, relaxed, and comfortable for short or long term stay.
You can support this ongoing project by giving through the Church App or by purchasing items off of the Putnam Ministry House registries. The Cross Reference Book Club book for June: Amusing Ourselves to Death by Neil Postman
~Brief overview~
Amusing Ourselves to Death
What happens when media and politics become forms of entertainment? As our world begins to look more and more like Orwell’s 1984, Neil’s Postman’s essential guide to the modern media is more relevant than ever.
Originally published in 1985, Neil Postman’s groundbreaking polemic about the corrosive effects of television on our politics and public discourse has been hailed as a twenty-first-century book published in the twentieth century. Now, with television joined by more sophisticated electronic media—from the Internet to cell phones to DVDs—it has taken on even greater significance. Amusing Ourselves to Death is a prophetic look at what happens when politics, journalism, education, and even religion become subject to the demands of entertainment. It is also a blueprint for regaining control of our media, so that they can serve our highest goals.
We look forward to hearing what you learned from reading this book at our next meeting on Saturday, July 1 at 6:30 PM at the Cross Reference Library at FBC Richland (Room 301). Join the group and RSVP so that we know you’re participating. You can join the Book Club Group and RSVP in the App: Home>Connect>Groups or click here.
Come join us whether you’ve read the book or not – we welcome all discussion. We’re excited to see you!

Student Ministry Update June 2023
Summer is approaching rapidly! Here are some of our plans.
We have 2 seniors who are graduating this year: Ilse Zacher and Joshua Pagh. If you see them you can congratulate them! Our youth group will be recognizing them at a special youth group in the park on Tuesday, June 6th from 6:00-8:00 pm (usual youth group time). We’ll also have pizza and dessert. Please drop your students off and pick them up at the Leslie Grove Park entrance off Park Street.
We will also be recognizing our seniors with the rest of our church family in the service on Sunday, June 11th.
We just completed our 7-week study in the book of Daniel this last Tuesday. One of the main takeaways from our study is that God is the ultimate authority in heaven and earth. This is shown throughout Daniel and emphasized in Daniel 2:20-22 (NLT):
He said, “Praise the name of God forever and ever,
for he has all wisdom and power.
He controls the course of world events;
he removes kings and sets up other kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the scholars.
He reveals deep and mysterious things
and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light.
In our next study we will be talking about World Religions. We asked the students to vote on some topics they thought would be valuable to them and this came out on top! Over a period of 5 weeks will be looking at Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism and comparing them to what we know about Christianity. We will finish up with a discussion on Christianity and why Jesus is unique and worthy of a personal relationship instead of seeing life with him merely as a better “religion.”
Once we finish World Religions, we will be discussing friendships, and that will bring us up to our Fall Kickoff on August 29th!
We are working on planning a couple of special activities for July and August. As we get things nailed down, we’ll let you know.
There is no youth group on July 4th!
It is such a privilege to spend time with your students! Their desire to know God more and their kindness to each other and to new students is such an encouragement!
If you have any questions, ideas, or concerns, you can send them my way!

The Secret Place
Sinking Deep
Lead Me To The Cross
What A Beautiful Name
The Secret Place
Verse 1
Where will you run my soul
Where will you go when wells run dry
When the wind starts to blow
How you gonna keep this flame alive
Pre-Chorus
In the fading light when night is breaking
I know You will always be waiting
You’ll always be there
Chorus
(I’m) running to the secret place
Where You are where You are
I’ll sing to You all the ways
You stole my heart stole my heart
Better is a moment that I spend with You
Than a million other days away
I’m running I’m running
I’m running to the secret place
Verse 2
You are my only hope
You are the Rock on which I stand
You will not let me go
I know that I’m safe inside Your hands
Bridge
Hands are lifted high hearts awake to life
We are satisfied here with You here with You
Chains will hit the floor broken lives restored
We couldn’t ask for more here with You here with You
Sinking Deep
Verse 1
Standing here in Your presence
In a grace so relentless
I am won by perfect love
Wrapped within the arms of heaven
In a peace that lasts forever
Sinking deep in mercy’s sea
Chorus
I’m wide awake drawing close
Stirred by grace and all my heart is Yours
All fear removed
I breathe You in I lean into Your love
Oh Your love
Verse 2
When I’m lost You pursue me
Lift my head to see Your glory
Lord of all so beautiful
Here in You I find shelter
Captivated by the splendour of Your face
My secret place
Bridge
Your love so deep is washing over me
Your face is all I seek You are my ev’rything
Jesus Christ You are my one desire
Lord hear my only cry to know You all my life
Lead Me To The Cross
Verse 1
Saviour I come quiet my soul
Remember redemption’s hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Pre-Chorus
Ev’rything I once held dear
I count it all as loss
Chorus
Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me lead me to the cross
Verse 2
You were as I tempted and tried human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin in death
Now You’re risen
Bridge
To Your heart
To Your heart
Lead me to Your heart
Lead me to Your heart
What A Beautiful Name
Verse 1
You were the Word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ
Chorus 1
What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
Verse 2
You didn’t want heaven without us
So Jesus You brought heaven down
My sin was great Your love was greater
What could separate us now
Chorus 2
What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a wonderful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever God You reign
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names

What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
