OFFICE HOLIDAY CLOSURE

GRANDVIEW BABY SHOWER
FBC Ladies, please come to a Baby Shower for Monse Lopez, the Pastor’s wife at the Grandview church. We will join other women of the Grandview Sola Gratia Church to celebrate the upcoming birth of their new Son Caleb. Saturday, July 20 at 3 PM at Sola Gratia Church, 406 E 2nd St, Grandview, WA 98930. VBS KICKOFF & CELEBRATION
Celebrate VBS with during our 9:30 AM Main Session! We will kick off the festivities on July 21, and there will be a VBS Celebration on July 28. This will be a fun Main Session made up of our VBS crew who will show us all the fun things that happened during the week of VBS and you’ll get to see how the community was able to hear all about Jesus. Join us for the fun!

SPECIAL BUSINESS MEETING
Please mark your calendars for our Special Business Meeting to be held Sunday, July 28, at 6:00 PM in the FBC Chapel.
The main topic of this meeting will be to affirm the proposed Constitutional Revision. You can read a side-by-side comparison of the current Constitution and the proposed Constitution here. A summary explanation of the main changes is available here.
All are welcome to attend and participate in discussion at the Business Meeting, however, only active FBC members will vote on affirmation of the Constitutional Revision.
If you have a question that you would like to have brought on your behalf to the Business meeting and you weren’t able to ask your question at the Town Hall, you can email that to info@fbcrichland.net.

CHURCH & BAPTISMS @THE PARK
We will hold our church service at the river on Sunday, August 18 at 9:30 AM at Howard Amon Park. Stay after the service for baptisms and then a picnic after that! Mark your calendars, it’s going to be a great time of worship and fellowship. We will gather at the North Shelter off of Newton Street. Baptisms will be nearby afterwards.

Here’s what to bring:
• Chair, picnic blanket, whatever you want to sit on
• Water and/or your own lunch beverages
• More to come regarding the picnic that will take place after baptisms!

If you want to be baptized make sure to come prepared for that too.

LIBRARY BOOK CLUB
FBC Richland’s Library, the Cross Reference, has a library book club! Everyone who reads and loves books is invited. In fact, bring your book-loving friends too. We usually meet to discuss the entire book at each meeting, but don’t despair – it’s ok if you haven’t read the book or have only read part of it, we still want you to come and be part of the discussion! We meet on selected Saturdays, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, in the FBC Library (room 301). TEXTING OPT-IN
With last Sunday’s power outage still fresh in our minds, we thought it would be a good time to revisit the option of using texting for time-sensitive communication. Of all the communication methods we use, texting will be the most effective way for you to receive time-sensitive announcements, such as weather cancellations or last-minute changes due to power outages. 2024 TRUNK OR TREAT NEW SHOE GIVEAWAY
Kary is looking for shoe shoppers and others to help prepare the shoes for our Shoe Giveaway at Trunk or Treat 2024.
Sign up today in the Church App. We are also adding socks to our shoe giveaway this year! We will collect toddler up to adult sizes. So far we have received: Pairs of shoes – 182; Pairs of socks – 431. Needs: Boys Youth 1, 2, 3, Adult 7, 8, 9, 10 and Girls Adult 7, 8, 9, 10. You may drop off new shoes & socks in the designated bins in the lobby. More information here

MEN’S 4 to 5 LIFE GROUP
Come join the Men’s Life 4 to 5 Group! We meet from 4:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoons in the MPR.

MomCo AT FBC 
MomCo at FBC Richland (formerly Mothers of Preschoolers) meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from September to May. Watch for next year’s schedule to come out in late Summer. More information here

WOMEN’S RETREAT

SENIORS

FUN, FOOD, FELLOWSHIP
This group is primarily for the senior population, but all ages are welcome. We meet monthly on the third Tuesday of the month at 11:30 AM, at a restaurant in town. Watch this section of Weekly Connections each month for details. More information here

FBC Kids is our Sunday morning program for children ages 0–6th grade. Our mission is to partner with families to raise up kids who love JesusMore information here

FBC KIDS BREAKOUTS
At 11:00 AM on Sundays, we have Breakout Sessions for all ages of FBC Kids!
• Newborn & Toddler
• Preschool & Kindergarten
• Grades 1, 2, & 3
• Grades 4, 5, & 6
These Breakouts include a deeper dive into the Gospel Project lesson, snacks, and other fun activities.
(Kids can remain in classes from the 9:30 hour)

** On the fifth Sunday we have a FBC Kids Review day! On June 30, grades 1-6 will all meet in Room 306 together. Ages 0-K will remain in their regular rooms. **

VBS REGISTRATION OPEN
We are getting very excited about our upcoming Vacation Bible School “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus” which is scheduled for the week of July 22-26. Registration is now open: More information here

VBS STAFF TRAINING
There is one more staff training meeting for those helping with VBS! The July meeting is the day before VBS begins – Sunday, July 21 – at noon in the MPR.
