YOU MEDICAL BABY BOTTLE FUNDRAISER
Each year You Medical runs a Baby Bottle Fundraiser, collecting change and bills that provide critical support for their vital, life-saving ministry. Please pick up a bottle in the foyer to partner with You Medical in being a voice for the special needs of this important mission! Bottles will be available at the table in the foyer on Sunday before and after the Main Session. More information here

FBC FOOD & FAMILY (RESCHEDULED)
This Sunday, May 19, we’re having a (rescheduled) Cinco de Mayo FBC Food & Family Potluck! Taco meat and tortillas will be included, please sign up to bring taco toppings and a side dish. Join us on Sunday, May 19 at Noon in the FBC Richland MPR, after Breakout Sessions. We look forward to seeing you then! Sign up here!

FBC ANNUAL MEETING
Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 19 in the Chapel. The meeting is open to all members and attenders, however, voting at the Meeting will be limited to active church members. We will vote on affirmation of Elders and Deacons and also on approval of the proposed budget for FY 2024-2025. After the business portion of our Annual Meeting, we will have an ice cream social in the MPR, so please come join us and stay for ice cream! More information here

SENIOR FUN, FOOD, FELLOWSHIP

TEXTING OPT-IN
With last Sunday’s power outage still fresh in our minds, we thought it would be a good time to revisit the option of using texting for time-sensitive communication. Of all the communication methods we use, texting will be the most effective way for you to receive time-sensitive announcements, such as weather cancellations or last-minute changes due to power outages. VBS VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION IS OPEN!


Save the date for VBS! It will take place the week of July 22-26. We will need lots of volunteers to make this year a success! Pray about helping now, and sign up here to volunteer. We will have many positions available and there will be many different ways to help. If you have any questions in the meantime, you may email vbs@fbcrichland.net.

 

WOMEN’S RETREAT IMPORTANT INFO
If you are registered for the Women’s Retreat, October 4-6, 2024, at the Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center, a deposit of $100 is due by June 1. If you aren’t signed up yet, there is still time to register and pay the deposit. Please pay in the church app when you register (or by editing your existing registration), or by check made out to FBC, designated “women’s retreat”. We’ll have an organizational meeting around the end of August to go over details. The remainder of the amount owed for the conference is due by September 1. Please contact Stacy Mouat or the church office with questions. More information here

• Shoe Collection Prep – 5/26
With Kary Ferguson – Join the Shoe Collection Team to start preparing for the 2024 Trunk or Treat New Shoe Giveaway. In this fourth-Sunday Breakout, we will prep shoes and socks by removing packaging and price tags, as well as pinning socks together as a pair. Each pair of shoes gets a bracelet that says “Jesus loves me”, supporting our goal of each child knowing Jesus loves them and sees them. Open to all ages.

LIBRARY BOOK CLUB
FBC Richland’s Library, the Cross Reference, has a library book club! Everyone who reads and loves books is invited. In fact, bring your book-loving friends too. We will meet to discuss the entire book at each meeting, but don’t despair – it’s ok if you haven’t read the book, we still want you to come and be part of the discussion! We meet on selected Saturdays, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, in the FBC Library (room 301). The next gathering is June 8. 2024 TRUNK OR TREAT NEW SHOE GIVEAWAY
Kary is looking for shoe shoppers and others to help prepare the shoes for our Shoe Giveaway at Trunk or Treat 2024.
Sign up today in the Church App. We are also adding socks to our shoe giveaway this year! We will collect toddler up to adult sizes. So far we have received: Pairs of shoes – 145; Pairs of socks – 431. Needs: Boys Youth 1, 2, 3, Adult 7, 8, 9, 10 and Girls Adult 7, 8, 9, 10. You may drop off new shoes & socks in the designated bins in the lobby. More information here

This group is primarily for the senior population, but all ages are welcome. We meet monthly on the third Tuesday of the month at 11:30 AM, at a restaurant in town. Watch this section of Weekly Connections each month for details. More information here

FBC KIDS
FBC Kids is our Sunday morning program for children ages 0–6th grade. Our mission is to partner with families to raise up kids who love JesusMore information here

FBC KIDS BREAKOUTS
At 11:00 AM on Sundays, we have Breakout Sessions for all ages of FBC Kids!
• Newborn & Toddler
• Preschool & Kindergarten
• Grades 1, 2, & 3
• Grades 4, 5, & 6
These Breakouts include a deeper dive into the Gospel Project lesson, snacks, and other fun activities.
(Kids can remain in classes from the 9:30 hour)

VBS VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
We are getting very excited about our upcoming Vacation Bible School “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus” which is scheduled for the week of July 22-26More information here
To provide as many spots for kids as possible, we need as many volunteers as possible. (Kids’ registration will open on Monday, June 17.)
Volunteer opportunities include:
• Kid Crew (helping with a certain grade class all week – choose from Kindergarten – 7th grade)
• Registration (helping when kids & parents arrive in the mornings)
• Audio/Visual
• Snack Helpers
• Game Helpers
• Decoration Helpers (this role will need to be completed before July 22 and the week of July 15 is reserved on the church calendar for VBS decoration and setup)

AWANA
AWANA helps parents worldwide raise children to know, love, and serve Christ. We meet Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:15 PM during the school year. More information here
