Weekly Connections 2-22-24
ANNOUNCEMENTS – 2-22-24

MEMBERSHIP WORKSHOP
Who is the church? What is the purpose of the church? Why join the church? How do I join the church? This evening of connection and discussion will answer these questions and more. Come explore church membership and its connection to ministry at FBC Richland. This quarter’s workshop is NEXT Sunday, March 3, 5:30-8:00 PM. Dinner will be provided. Sign up here by Wednesday, February 28, please – so that we know how much food to provide. Thank you! View a quick message from Pastor Tim here

NCFCA SPEECH & DEBATE TOURNAMENT
FBC will be hosting a tournament next week – from February 29 to March 2 – and they are looking for community volunteers! These tournaments rely on support from community volunteers who give their time to judge rounds of competition. No experience is necessary because we want our competitors (ages 12-18) to practice real-world communication and get feedback from adults with a variety of perspectives. Your input can truly make a difference! Would you consider volunteering to judge a round of speech or debate? You can also pick up a flyer at the Connect Table on Sunday morning, and you can also contact Jen Frater for more info. View the flyer here

We stand and lift up our hands
For the joy of the Lord is our strength
We bow down and worship Him now
How great how awesome is He

Pre-Chorus

And together we sing
Ev’ryone sing

Chorus

Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
The earth is filled with His glory

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Verse 1

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see

Verse 2

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Chorus

My chains are gone I’ve been set free
My God my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love amazing grace

Verse 3

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

Verse 4

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

This Is Amazing Grace

Verse 1

Who breaks the power of sin and darkness
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger
The King of Glory the King above all kings

Verse 2

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
And leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
The King of Glory the King above all kings

Chorus

(Yeah) (Oh) This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You laid down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh Jesus I sing for all that You’ve done for me

Verse 3

Who brings our chaos back into order
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The King of Glory the King of Glory

Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The King of Glory the King above all kings

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy worthy worthy

And oh happy day happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day happy day
I’ll never be the same
Forever I am changed

When I stand in that place
Free at last meeting face to face
I am Yours Jesus You are mine
Endless joy perfect peace
Earthly pain finally will cease
Celebrate Jesus is alive
He’s alive

What a glorious way
That You have saved me
And oh what a glorious day
What a glorious name
