EX^LT – FRIDAYS
EX^LT is a college age ministry at FBC designed for high school seniors through young adults. EX^LT is a weekly time of fellowship, connection, accountability, worship, and scripture discussion. Our purpose is to provide a safe space for a college age community to gather, worship, learn, and share life together. We meet on Fridays at FBC, in Room 302. Arrive at 6:30 PM for refreshments before we kick things off at 7:00 PM. Bring a friend and we hope to see you there. Click here to sign up!
LIBRARY BOOK CLUB – SATURDAY 1/28
The FBC Library, The Cross Reference, has a Book Club and it is for everyone who reads and loves books – all are invited! In fact, bring your book-loving friends too. Sign up to join the Book Club Group in the App: Home>Connect>Groups or click here. We appreciate your RSVP so that we know how many are going to join us for this fabulous time of sharing and fellowship!
The Cross Reference Book Club book for January: On Reading Well: Finding the Good Life Through Great Books. Acclaimed author Karen Swallow Prior takes us on a guided tour through works of great literature, helping us learn to love life, literature, and God through our encounters with great writing.
From the Amazon page: “Reading great literature well has the power to cultivate virtue, says acclaimed author Karen Swallow Prior. In this book, she takes readers on a guided tour through works of great literature both ancient and modern, exploring twelve virtues that philosophers and theologians throughout history have identified as most essential for good character and the good life.”
Get the book here at this Amazon link
We look forward to hearing what you learned from reading this book at our next meeting on Saturday, January 28 at 9:30 AM at the Frater Library.
Join the group and RSVP so that we know you’re participating. You can join the Book Club Group and RSVP in the App: Home>Connect>Groups or click here.

God So Loved

Mighty To Save
God So Loved
Verse 1
Come all you weary
Come all you thirsty
Come to the well that never runs dry
Drink of the water
Come and thirst no more
Verse 2
Come all you sinners
Come find His mercy

Taste of His goodness
Find what you’re looking for

Come lay them down at the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting there
With open arms
Chorus 2
For God so loved the world that He gave us
His one and only Son to save us
Whoever believes in Him will live forever
The power of hell forever defeated
Now it is well I’m walking in freedom
For God so loved God so loved the world
Bridge

From whom all blessings flow
Praise Him praise Him
For the wonders of His love

The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ
