LIBRARY BOOK CLUB – 12/19
The FBC Library, The Cross Reference, has a Book Club and it is for everyone who reads and loves books – all are invited! In fact, bring your book-loving friends too. We appreciate your RSVP so that we know how many are going to join us for this fabulous time of sharing and fellowship!
The Cross Reference Book Club book for December: Is Christmas Unbelievable?: Four Questions Everyone Should Ask About the World’s Most Famous Story by Rebecca McLaughlin. Below is the summary from the Amazon page.
Many people assume that the story of the baby in the manger at Bethlehem is just another made-up fantasy for kids.
In this concise book, respected apologist Rebecca McLaughlin outlines the evidence that Jesus was a real person, explaining the reliability of the Bible’s accounts of his life and why believing in a virgin birth is not as ridiculous as it might sound.
This book shows that there is a rational basis for the belief that the world’s most famous story is fact, not fantasy―and how those events in history can infuse our lives today with meaning and joy.
We look forward to hearing what you learned from reading this book at our next meeting on Monday, December 19 at 6:30 PM at the Frater Library. (Note that this date is different from our regular schedule, due to the holidays.)
Join the group and RSVP so that we know you’re participating. You can join the Book Club Group and RSVP in the App: Home>Connect>Groups or click here.
Looking for additional book recommendations? Check out this book list. It will keep growing through the months as we find more to add to it.
We’re excited to see you at the next Cross Reference Book Club!
CHRISTMAS EVE GIFT GIVING GATHERING – 12/24
Please join the Christmas Eve Gift Gathering, brought to you by one of our FBC Small Groups.
You are invited to bring your gift to share with our church family.

Ideas for gifts to bring:

NEW LADIES BREAKOUT SESSION – 1/8/23
Introducing a new Breakout Session for Ladies coming in January: Living a Life of True Worship.
How does one worship a Holy God? Is there a longing within you to worship God in spirit and in truth? To know that you have approached a holy God through your reasonable service of worship?
We all worship someone, something–and our worship takes many forms. But according to God, if your worship is to be true worship it must be His way. God said, “By those who come near Me, I will be treated as holy, and before all the people I will be honored.”
Please join this Breakout Session on Sundays at 11:00 AM beginning on January 8 in Room 307. This is a large room with plenty of seating! This Breakout Session is for ladies age 16 and older, and it is 6 weeks long. We may not meet every week due to our leader’s travel schedule, but these dates will be updated and posted as soon as we know the schedule.
If you have not yet purchased a book, please get one before you come! This study does not have homework, we will do the study together in class. Please contact Stacy Mouat if you have any questions about the Breakout Session or finding a book. Join this Breakout Session group in the ChurchCenter App: Home> Connect> Groups or by clicking here.
We can’t wait to see you there!
