CHILDRENS MINISTRY ASSESSMENT
This spring, we are choosing to invest significant time and energy in exploring the future of our church’s children’s ministry. As a church that cares deeply about the spiritual formation of children, we are always looking for ways to improve.
As a part of this effort, we are participating in a virtual learning cohort called CoLab with Barna Group. Barna has done a lot of research on the next generation, and over the next few weeks, we are going to be spending time learning and growing as a team, considering how we can best lead and serve children moving forward.
We want YOU to join us as we prayerfully consider the future of our children’s ministry! In partnership with Barna, we would like to invite everyone who attends FBC Richland to complete a short, 10-minute survey on the topic of children’s ministry. Even if you personally have no connection to our children’s ministry at this time, we would like your input and observations.
As we deeply value your honest thoughts and opinions on this topic, all the data collected in this survey is anonymous.
Click HERE to begin the assessment!
Thank you for partnering with us in this important effort to serve the next generation well.

Open The Eyes Of My Heart

What A Beautiful Name
Open The Eyes Of My Heart
Chorus
Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You
Verse
To see You high and lifted up
Shining in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy holy holy
Bridge

Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin

The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ

Come today there’s no reason to wait

The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery

When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now

Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander

Sermon Study Guide
FBC Richland: Who We Are (Week Fifteen)
Pastor Tim Walker
1The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones.
2And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry.
3And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.”
4Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.
5Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.
6And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the Lord.”
7So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
8And I looked, and behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them. But there was no breath in them.
9Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”
10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
11Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.’
12Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people. And I will bring you into the land of Israel.
13And you shall know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people.
14And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the Lord.”
Ezekiel 37:1-14 ESV
1But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.
2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,
4treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
6For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,
7always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.
8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.
9But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.
10You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness,
11my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me.
12Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
13while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it
15and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
17that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:1-17 ESV
