EX^LT is a college age ministry at FBC designed for high school seniors through young adults. EX^LT is a weekly time of fellowship, connection, accountability, worship, and scripture discussion. Our purpose is to provide a safe space for a college age community to gather, worship, learn, and share life together. We meet on Fridays at FBC, in Room 302. We are collecting NEW school shoes and sneakers to distribute next Fall to kids to come to Trunk or Treat! We are going to collect shoes until we reach our goal, so please give us a hand! You may drop off new shoes in the designated shoe bins in the foyer, between the double glass doors.

Our collection goal:
• 100 little kid sizes (11-3)
• 200 big kid sizes (3-5)

MEN’S PRAYER OPPORTUNITY – 5 PM SUNDAY

The Sunday evening Men’s Accountability Group is taking a break, but we are still offering a prayer opportunity for those who would like to attend. We still meet on Sundays at 5 PM in room 303. We will meet for about half an hour.

NEW LADIES BREAKOUT SESSION – COMING NEXT WEEK 1/8/23

Introducing a new Breakout Session for Ladies coming NEXT WEEK: Living a Life of True Worship.

Study Description:
How does one worship a Holy God? Is there a longing within you to worship God in spirit and in truth? To know that you have approached a holy God through your reasonable service of worship?

We all worship someone, something–and our worship takes many forms. But according to God, if your worship is to be true worship it must be His way. God said, “By those who come near Me, I will be treated as holy, and before all the people I will be honored.”

How…when…where does man worship God in spirit and in truth? This is what you will discover for yourself as we study and discuss together what God says about all those who would come near to Him.

In this 40 minute-per-session Bible study we will investigate powerful Biblical truth on the important issue of worshiping a holy God. Each lesson is designed to draw you into God’s Word through basic inductive Bible study. No homework is required, so everyone in the group can work through the lesson together at the same time. Join one of the worlds’ most respected Bible teachers, Kay Arthur, in a study that will revolutionize your thinking –and your life.

When and Where:
Please join this Breakout Session on Sundays at 11:00 AM beginning on January 8 in Room 307. This is a large room with plenty of seating! This Breakout Session is for ladies age 16 and older, and it is 6 weeks long. We may not meet every week due to our leader’s travel schedule, but these dates will be updated and posted as soon as we know the schedule.

We ask that you please join the Breakout Session group! This will help leaders know how many people plan to come. This will also enable you to receive reminders for each session, message other session attendees, and have access to group resources. After you join this group, you can visit the resources tab to find a link to the book.

CHURCH AT THE PARK – 8/21

We will hold our church service at the river on August 21 at 9:30 AM at Leslie Groves Park, shelter #1.
There will be some postcards with a map of the location available at the Connect Table so you will know where we will be, and can invite friends too! Stay after the service for some baptisms and then a picnic after that! Mark your calendars! It’s going to be a great time of worship and fellowship.

Here’s what to bring:
• Chair, picnic blanket, whatever you want to sit on
• Water (we will provide some)
• Non-perishable picnic food to share (cookies, chips, watermelon, etc.)

We will provide hot dogs, buns, condiments, and water for lunch.
If you want to be baptized make sure to come prepared for that!

For the Summer, we are offering nursery care for ages 0-3 during our 9:30 AM Main Session. All other ages are welcome and encouraged to participate with their families in the Main Session, where they can grab a Kids Bible Study Notes packet from the table in the back if they wish
If at any time a different venue would be helpful, you may view the simulcast of the Main Session in our Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)
