BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Breakout sessions begin at 11:00. We hope you’ll join us after the service:
- **NEW** Book of Genesis with Paul Eslinger – An interactive bible study for adults.
– This new session will focus on the metanarrative of scripture. In Genesis, God reveals himself to man in a way that explains our origins, the origins of good and evil, and some of his plan for us, which includes a wonderful future for those who believe. God’s plan started before time began, as the Apostle Paul told Titus in Titus 1:2 “…in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.” Join us as we open the word of God and learn more about him.
– Meets in Room 303 - Workshop: Discussing and Applying a Sermon with Alan Zacher – All ages are welcome
– Meets in the MPR

A NOTE FROM PASTOR TIM
FBC Richland family and friends,
A quick update from the Walkers: COVID has finally found its way to our home. We’ve got a couple positive tests, a couple negative tests, and a few more with symptoms. Out of a heart toward caution and care for our church family, I am choosing to stay away one more week. We miss y’all immensely but continue to serve from afar and will join you again for Sunday’s Main Session via YouTube. Thank you all for the sweet care and timely front-porch-supply-drop-offs. Thank you also to the staff and elders who have so willingly stepped up to cover some of my duties. Make sure and reach out to me if you need anything.
Thanks,
Pastor Tim

Click here to register to donate. Donating blood is safe, quick and easy, and you can save up to 3 lives with just 1 blood donation! Giving blood saves 4.5 million lives each year in the US, yet fewer than 1 out of 10 people in the US donate.
Let’s roll up our sleeves and do our part!

Sermon Study Guide
Great Intentions
Jeff Stachofsky
13 Now when Jesus heard about John, He withdrew from there in a boat to a secluded place by Himself; and when the people heard of this, they followed Him on foot from the cities.
14 When He went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick.
15 When it was evening, the disciples came to Him and said, “This place is desolate and the hour is already late; so send the crowds away, that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”
16 But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat!”
17 They *said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”
18 And He said, “Bring them here to Me.”
19 Ordering the people to sit down on the grass, He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed the food, and breaking the loaves He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds,
20 and they all ate and were satisfied. They picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve full baskets.
21 There were about five thousand men who ate, besides women and children.

The Christian life is designed to be transferred relationally and journeyed together. You need to “rope in”– brother to brother and sister to sister – on a weekly basis so that together we can draw near to God and join him in his kingdom work.
This is an exploration – commit and prepare for a long and rewarding journey.

Ministry of the Month
From Kristin:
I work with national partners all over the world, but am currently based in Arizona. While I’m based in AZ, I will Lord willing soon be traveling to visit national partners in the Middle East and Asia.
My calling is to use my gifts in Bible scholarship and my multicultural background to serve the global church, particularly for purposes of growing church unity, and helping the church to fulfill its peacemaking commission from Christ. My work is all about 1) bridging cultural gaps to deepen our understanding and love for God’s Word, and 2) breaking down dividing walls of hostility according to Eph. 2:11-22, so that we can be one even as Christ and the Father are one, and so that we can be a display of His glory to the world.
Right now, I’m working on my PhD in Bible and cross-cultural missiology, and have just begun to collaborate on a very exciting project with another organization based in AZ. This organization has an entire team of people who do exactly the kind of training and resource development work that I’m called to do, and I have the privilege of joining them on The Ephesians 2 Gospel Project, where we are using Ephesians 2 to develop resources made by and for the global church, to help Christians everywhere to address conflict and violence with the gospel, and to give us new tools for reaching our neighbors with Christ’s gospel of peace.
Prayer Requests:
- I praise God for the truly miraculous ways that He brought me in contact with The Ephesians 2 Gospel Project, and the many more-than-coincidental ways that He has provided for my financial needs, and for this project thus far.
- Please pray with me for God’s continued provision on The Ephesians 2 Gospel Project, and on my PhD work.
- Pray for the strength and wisdom necessary to do this work, that the attacks of the Enemy against us would be thwarted, and that financial provisions would continue to come in and increase.
